The Return to Gesture: A Love Letter to Our Humanity
A celebration of the human hand and the marks only a person can make — the wavering brushstroke, the line drawn too fast, the fingerprint pressed into clay. In a moment when so much is generated, smoothed, and optimized, this exhibition asks artists to show us the evidence of themselves in the work. Gesture is proof that someone was here, that someone felt something and reached for a way to say it.
Artists are invited to submit work where the process is visible — where you can still see the hand, the body, the decision, the imperfection.

- Mediums: All welcome (painting, drawing, textile/fiber, mixed media, printmaking, photography, sculpture/3D, ceramics)
- Size: Max 30″ on the longest side
- Submissions: Up to 3 pieces per artist
- Eligibility: Residents of Fayette or Coweta County
- Sales: Optional; buyers contact artists directly
